Dalwhinnie Farm is a small,
private kennel. We are attempting to consistently produce top
quality Parson Russell Terriers, such as we believe based on our
own experiences would have been bred and worked with hounds to
fox by Parson John Russell himself. Our dogs are taller (13 to
14 inches) and with more bone than is typically seen in the
United States. They also carry the good temperament necessary
for a real working terrierman - or a family seeking a pet. They
are bright, willing workers, not given to being snappy or hard.
Our bloodlines include primarily
Glenholm, Hoelio/Heliwar, Somerwest and Ridley. All of these are
British kennels of high regard. We are interested solely in
Parson Russell Terriers and not in the often flashier and harder
Lakeland crossbreds. We are focused on producing terriers who
will stand the test of time in the ring, field and by the hearth
-- not simply here today, gone tomorrow show dogs.
We are interested in working with
others who think as we do, such as
The Jacks Wild Kennel in Reno, NV, Junction Kennels in
Hendersonville, TN, and Glenholm Kennel in Edinburgh, Scotland. If you want
a dog to hunt, show, or simply to love, we hope you will consider
Dalwhinnie
Farm.

Did ye ken John Peel
